The Ministry of Health cautions unvaccinated frontline workers.
At the official launch of Belize's Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign on June 30th, 2021, the Minister of Home Affairs & New Growth Industries, The Hon. Kareem Musa announced amendments to the existing Statutory Instrument No. 74 of 2021.

In an effort to contain a recent uptick in the local spread of Covid-19, the government has implemented adjusted curfew hours & capacity restrictions on indoor dining rooms. What has been cautioned, is that as of August 1st, 2021 all frontline workers who have not been vaccinated will be required to produce negative rapid or PCR tests on a bi-weekly basis to their employer at their own expense. A measure like this can have a tremendous impact on the industry's labor relations, and one would hope that if it becomes policy, that advice would be provided to the industry on what to do if an employee is unable to adhere to this requirement
