Careers at the Belize Hotel Association

Responsibilities

• Develop video content for the Association's members.
• Direct, coordinate and supervise all aspects of the Association's television channel.
• Develop ideas for new content and recommend and implement approved changes to current programming.
• Operate camera and audio equipment for in-studio, on-location and live events.
• Efficiently edit video and audio to develop a wide range of content including full video promotions and editorial content.
• Ensure visual elements and quality standards are maintained throughout the video production process.
• Promote a positive image of the BHA which conforms to the Associations mission through the creation of video and audio content and through professional appearance, actions and interactions with the BHA's members, staff and Board of Directors.
• Ensure the operational readiness of the BHA's equipment by performing repairs, set-ups and preventative maintenance as appropriate.
• Organize and maintain a library of media assets in line with the Association's processes and procedures.
• Remain competent and current through self-directed professional development, developing contacts within the Association's membership and attending training and/or courses as directed and approved by the General Manager.

Skills & Requirements

• Still Photography experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premier and Audition.
• Proficient in all aspects of video production, such as: shoot setup; audio recording, mixing and editing; familiarity with video compression best practices and media asset management. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop); Ability to use After Effects to create simple animations considered a plus.
• Experience shooting video with a wide range of professional cameras.
• Adept with three-point studio lighting, as well as lighting for outdoor shoots.
• Still photography experience considered a plus.
• Experience taking concepts /ideas and creating multimedia content.
• A willingness to embrace change, voice ideas and work in a fast paced environment.
