Dallas Vacationers seek Travel and Adventures in Belize
The Belize Hotel Association, represented by our 2nd Vice President Barbara Hall and Board Director Sherry Constantino attended another of the Travel and Adventures Show series, last weekend. This was the first time that the BHA was promoting our members at the Dallas Travel and Adventure Show, that took place on March 30 and 31, at the Dallas Market Hall in Dallas Texas. This show was chosen by the BHA because of the non-stop flight available from Dallas to Belize, and easy connectivity is always a big factor for travelers.
The BHA booth received a constant stream of visitors over the two days, including several travel agents, which was interesting, seeing this was a consumer show. Most of the attendees knew about Belize and several had already been to Belize with the hope of returning in the near future. They were familiar with Ambergris Caye, and were interested to find out about other destinations throughout the country and to learn about the countless attractions and activities that Belize has to offer. Cruise passengers who had stopped in to Belize for the day, stated they were intrigued by our country, and wanted to return for a longer stay to experience the many beautiful places, our delegates spoke about.
The Travel and Adventure Shows, create destination awareness, capture mind share, and generate leads by attracting serious travelers who are already in the planning stage of the travel purchase process. The Travel & Adventure Shows are strategically positioned in nine of the country’s top gateway markets that offer easy access to airlift and contain large populations with above average disposable incomes. From international and domestic destinations, to tour operators and top travel suppliers, these events have connected more than 4,000 travel providers with over 1.75 million active travelers in the past fifteen years. The Shows offer face to face meetings, between suppliers and consumers, promoting quality conversations, information dissemination and building trust in our BHA brand which ultimately leads to travel bookings for our members.
